27th IATEFL BESIG Annual Conference in Bonn, Germany | Online poll for the Session E simulcast

The 27th IATEFL BESIG Annual Conference is taking place at Sankt Augustin Campus, Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, in Bonn, Germany. You can find more information about the event on the BESIG website.

As part of the conference's online component, the BESIG Online Team is piloting a poll to select which speaker will be simulcast for Session E. The primary purpose of this trial poll is to investigate ways to further increase the involvement of our online community. We are running the poll using Google Forms and the results will not be published.

As I pointed out to one of the speakers involved, the poll is designed to give us an indication of which presentations our online community would like to see simulcast: to survey the opinions out there, to be more inclusive in the selection process, and to provide some additional publicity for all Session E speakers. Also, it is worth noting that even if the pilot proves to be successful, there are no plans to adopt across-the-board polls for future simulcasts. Perhaps a few sessions at most. Personally, what I'd really like to see is initiatives like this one increasing our online community's awareness of and interest in the conference simulcast. At the same time as we try to increase engagement, diversity and inclusiveness, the Online Team remains determined to maintain the quality of speakers that has been established over the last few years under the various IATEFL BESIG Web Coordinators.

Please let us know who you would like to see simulcast!
